Circuitbent See & Say

This is a circuitbent See-N-Say, rehoused to be a handheld instrument. The bends are all pitch bends controlled by the photocell and the potentiometer wired up in series. This produces some extremely unique sounds, which can be controlled to range from short shrill sounds, to low tone noises that can last up to several minutes at one time. Built with its own speaker, this intrument was made in one evening.

Here’s an example of it being controlled with a strobe light.
